Khatron Ke Khiladi 2 (Fear Factor Level 2) began on September 7,2009 with Akshay Kumar returning as the host and 13 actresses and models who will fight one thing-fear. The 13 lovely women include Bruna Abdullah, Sushama Reddy, Mandira Bedi, Jesse Randhawa, Nauheed Cyrusi,Rosa Catalano, Rupali Ganguly, Sonika Kaliraman, Shonali Nagrani, Pia Trivedi, Shweta Salve and Anoushka Manchanda.
Day 1: Akshay Kumar got the girls on the job from the first day itself. This time, the guys will partner with them in the tasks instead of just being bystanders and moral support as they did in Khatron Ke Khiladi 1. So, for the first task, the girls were asked to pick flags from a huge bridge along the sea. The bridge would shake furiously and the girls had to battle despite heavy wind and gushing water to collect the flags. All of them tripped and fell but Shweta Salve and Jesse Randhawa were able to collect maxium flags(8). Contestant Sonika Kaliraman, who is a professional wrestler bruised herself in the chin area while pulling off the task.
Akshay Kumar advised all of them to be careful and focus well, while performing the tasks. The second task was the one which grossed out many girls. Akshay Kumar asked the girls and their respective partners to dip their mouth in a bowl full of earthworms and transfer them to their partners. Shweta Salve got the safety belt and was exempted from the task. This was a time based task and all the guys and girls gave in their best shot. The guys put their mouths into a bowlful of earthworms and transferred them to their partner girls next to them Shonali Nagrani was the first one to do the task and tragically, she and her partner were the slowest, which is why they had to quit.
